Taking your Car to Bethel
Take the 44 East and then 5 North. Take the Lake Blvd turnoff, go right, College View turn off, right, then right at the lights. This takes you up the hill to Bethel.
Biking to Bethel
Bike over the bridge and up the big hill on North Market Rd, right onto Lake Blvd, then as above. Or, go over the Cypress bridge walkway and left up Canby onto Churn Creek which takes you up to Bethel that way. I recommend heading over the river to the shops over there – Trader Joes, Walmart, Food max, Winco are all good and affordable supermarkets. The Dollar Tree is nearby too. Safeway is handy for top ups but can be on the more expensive side. See map for more information and other places of interest.

Walking 15 mins to Civic or 5 mins if you cut through the cemetery.

Walking to the Supermarket
The nearest supermarket is Safeway on the corner of West Cypress and East St. It is one mile away and would take about 23 mins to walk there.
Taking your car
I recommend taking the 44 East and going to the following stores: Grocery Outlet, Trader Joes, Walmart, Foodmax and WInco. For coffee downtown: Brew on Yuba St., Coffee Bar, Cafe Pagato, Dejavu and Starbucks are all good.
