How many people can fit in a shared room?
Most shared rooms have the capacity for two people per room (apart from one bedroom at Layton which has room for three/four).
If I cancel my booking, is my reservation down payment/deposit refundable?
Longer term tenants (10 month leases):
If the Tenant wishes to terminate this Agreement before the fixed term as stated, they must put in a request to the Lessor, find a suitable replacement roommate that the other housemates approve of, ensure that all their payments are up to date, and a smooth transition over to the new room mate so that there is no loss of rent to the Lessor. Any loss of rent will be taken out of the deposit by the Lessor. Note, if one roommate leaves, the others will not be responsible to pick up the difference in rent, unless, they choose not to accept the new room mate whom the landlord has selected and has seen as a satisfactory fit in the apartment.

I am a BSSM student - Do I pay for utilities and internet, if so, what will cost me?
Yes, you are responsible along with your room mates to get utilities and internet connected upon your arrival.
Utilities:
You (and your room mates) will need to contact/visit City of Redding, ph. 530-339-7200. Located at 777 Cypress Ave Redding,CA 96001. Some apartments will also need to set up an account with PG&E for gas services. 1-800-743-5000.
BSSM STUDENTS NOTE:
This year (2014/2015), the City of Redding Utilities Company has made an offer to each of the BSSM students that will allow you to set up your utility billing without having to physically go to City Hall to do it. They have also waived the deposit that is normally required! Please click on the following link http://www.bcrr.us/utilities and print out the application. Once you have completed the form, you can scan it via scanner or a take a great picture with your cell phone and email it to bssm.utilities@ibethel.org. It is your responsibility to contact the Redding Utilities directly once you have finalized your house/apartment to rent. BSSM or Revival Apartments does not do this work for you. BSSM will however forward the information that you send to them once they determine that you have been accepted to school.
NON BSSM STUDENTS:
USA citizens - you may be able to connect utilities over the phone with your social security number before you arrive (you may need to have credit history).
Internationals - You must physically go into the City of Redding office upon your arrival with your passport.
Note, City of Redding require all adults over 18 years of age living in the home to sign up on the account.
Upfront Cost: If you do not have Utilities credit history then a deposit is required (around $300 which can be split by you and your room mates)
Ongoing cost: Typically anywhere between $20-40 a month depending on your use of AC and heating.
The earliest you can schedule a turn on is 30 days before you move in. The first person to arrive can set it up but whenever you know the other tenant's information you'll need to put them on as secondary people on your account.
Internet:
Two commonly used companies are Charter and AT&T.
Ongoing cost is around $30 a month for the connection, so if four in the apartment, about $7.50 each.
