Furnished Apartments in Redding Karina Paine
Ph: +1 530 350 6599
REDDING, CALIFORNIA

What is the Expectation of me living  in these Apartments?

By living in this place my heart is to build relationship and a sense of family, doing life together, in love, with my roommates and those that live around me.
  • I will commit to living intentionally in my community. This is not out of works or an organized program, but out of the overflow of my relationship with Jesus. How living intentionally looks may be different for every person and situation and their passions/interests. It may look like saying hi and smiling to the neighbors as I walk past them, it may be finding out their children’s names and asking about their interests, having a BBQ, offering to babysit, or giving someone a lift to church. It may also look like inviting them into my home for a meal and a bible study or worship. Something very simple like remembering a neighbor’s birthday can mean the world to them.
  • While I understand it is not mandatory, but with the essence of community, I will gather on a regular basis with the Community of Believers in my complex and will open this to neighbors in my community. This will take place in one of Karina Paine’s Apartments and may look something like a shared meal/snack and some kind of bible study/worship time. Note, this is likely to be on a Thursday night (however this is flexible). If this is a part of the BSSM outreach program, it is envisaged this will be held every week or bi week and food may or may not be provided by Bethel. With the time demands of BSSM and other commitments, how this looks (frequency and each person’s commitment) is to be self determined and decided amongst those living in the community.

  • I will commit to developing and sustaining a Culture of Honor.
  • I will communicate your needs and listen to the needs of others within your apartment.
  • Within shared living arrangements, I will take responsibility for maintaining the shared living and bedroom space. I will complete housework weekly and if I make a mess, you will clean it up.  If something is broken or lost, I will take responsibility to pay for a replacement.
  • I will contribute fairly to the cost of utilities, internet and communal household items such as toilet paper and cleaning products.
  • I will resolve to 'nip things in the bud' and quickly communicate points of frustration in an honoring manner.  I will endeavor to resolve contention within 24 hours.  If I have difficulty in doing so, I will seek counsel from an overseer or someone you are accountable to.
